Top 5 Places for a Bird’s Eye View of Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a literal neon sign and you’re here for the best of it. Glitzy hotels, marbled lounges, rooftop dance parties and glam everything makes its Sin City moniker a well-earned one. Outside of the non-stop partying, however, is a missing piece of your Las Vegas travel.

Don’t leave without a bird’s eye view shot of the city.

The Eiffel Tower

Can’t make it to Paris? Las Vegas travel gets you close, thanks to its own glowing beacon of light. It might be half the size of the original, but the viewing deck pans over both north and south. To linger longer, settle in for French cuisine at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Floor-to-ceiling windows mean you have a perfect view of the Bellagio Fountains; dinner and entertainment in one.

High Roller Ferris Wheel

550-feet tall, the High Roller Ferris Wheel is the largest in the country. A single rotation takes 30 minutes, long enough to fill a camera reel or romantically propose. One of the pods even has a full bar to spice things up, if the sheer height doesn’t make you woozy.

Indulge in the day and night views of Las Vegas and surrounding desert landscapes with nothing to distract you. Those feeling inspired can also strap into the Fly LINQ Zipline for a more immersive bird’s eye flight across the promenade.

Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay

Put down your powders – forget about matching the slick aesthetics of Foundation Room because the outside views have you beat. This rooftop outlook has made it into every Las Vegas travel epic; the finale of your Vegas Strip debut. Located on the 63rd floor and at the very end of the Strip, bird’s eye views over Vegas are guaranteed.

Fancy dinner, unlimited drinks and gorgeous burlesque dancers after 10 PM are more than enough reasons to stay. If the night views aren’t enough, the seven rooms that make up this lounge will keep your camera busy.

By Helicopter

Not quite a ‘place’ per say, but helicopter tours bring you literally eye to eye with the birds – possibly higher. The sound of whirring blades are drowned out by your thumping pulse, helicopter swerving above the Strip’s excess and Downtown’s Glitter Gulch. The Vegas Boulevard, the Mirage, Fremont Street Experience and more are under your thumb. If you time it right, the Bellagio fountains dance in a private showing.

While helicopter tours rarely last over half an hour, it’ll be the highlight of your Las Vegas travels.

One Last Tip

Be sure to get a window seat when you're flying in and out of Las Vegas for some pretty great views, depending on which side of the plane you're sitting that is.  Hint: generally it's the right side, more often than not.
