The Classes of LUFTHANSA

First Class

Feel free to ask the flight attendants if you would like to rest or sleep: on request, they will convert your seat into a 2-metre-long bed with a comfortable mattress and a temperature regulating duvet.

Lufthansa offer you an exclusive amenity kit and a selection of high-quality toiletries in their elegant and spacious First Class washrooms. Small details that ensure refreshing moments and round off perfectly your first-class travel experience.

A delicious meal, elegantly arranged on fine china, savour the culinary highlights on First Class. The red rose and the caviar service are both integral parts of the First Class experience. Business Class

With Lufthansa Business Class, you'll reach your destination feeling well-rested after enjoying a first-rate service on board. The new Lufthansa Business Class seat can be converted into a fully flat bed that is almost two metres long, and the open-plan design, the seating arrangement and the subtle, natural colour scheme create a surprisingly spacious feel. You will experience even more individual and personal attention on board, whether it's another espresso to help you work, an extra pillow for a restful night or sleeping undisturbed without being interrupted for breakfast - your personal flight attendant will respond to your requests. And if you're feeling a bit peckish between meals, there's a range of snacks available in the galley.

Premium Economy Class

With more space in every direction, Lufthansa offers a new travel experience with Premium Economy. Whether you're travelling for business or pleasure, you can enjoy more personal space and added extras. Plus the extra baggage allowance, an 11 or 12" personal screen with a massive entertainment program you'll be able to enjoy a throughly relaxing journey - both on the ground and on board.

Economy Class

Flying Economy Class with Lufthansa will guarantee that you'll be comfortable in the 40cm-wide seats with adjustable headrests. On long-haul flights in Economy Class you can look forward to an attentive in-flight service that varies depending on the length of the flight and the destination. It always includes a varied range of beverages, a 3-course menu and a second meal.


Disabled passengers can have assistance while embarking or disembarking, transport of mobility devices, facilities for assistance dogs and meals according to dietary requirements. It's suggested that you let the airline know of your requirements at least 48 hours before the flight.


Economy passengers may check-in one bag with a maximum weight of 23kg, Premium Economy can check in two bags up to 23kg each, Business Class passengers can check in two bags of 32kg each, and First Class passengers can check in three bags , each up to 32kg. The maximum size of each piece of baggage cannot exceed 158cm (length + width + height).

For the hand baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy customers are allowed to carry one piece of baggage, not to exceed 8kg. First Class and Business Class passengers are allowed to carry two pieces of baggage on board, each up to 8kg.
