the oldest world-class carrier in the world

Recognised as the world's oldest airline still operating under its original name.

KLM is the national carrier of the Netherlands and flies to over 90 destinations around the world. The airline flies from 18 airports in the UK and Ireland and is operated out of its home base in Amsterdam. In 2004, the airline merged with Air France making their flights particularly popular, as well to closer European destinations. 

The Classes of klm

Business Class

Designed by a renowned Dutch designer, the business class will make you feel at home. The seat reclines into fully flat beds measuring nearly 2m, and you can find in-seat power to charge your devices. Dining options include a three course meal, pre-departure snacks and drinks and additional small nibbles while flying. In most KLM aircrafts you can get Wi-Fi, it's offered different kinds of internet packages depending on the type of the aircraft. Seat back TV monitors with AVOD (Audio/Video on Demand) with more than 1,000 hours of entertainment in various languages on your very own interactive screen.


Economy

Passengers on the economy class have a 78cm seat pitch on all aircraft, but keep in mind that there is no in-flight entertainment on short haul flights. Longer flights have private seat back screens. Long haul flight passengers get a hot meal service, while short haul's receive a snack and drink. All drinks (excluding champagne) are free on KLM for all passengers.


Economy Comfort Class is offered on all flights and upgrading can cost between 20 to 70 Euros, and guarantee greater leg-room and recline, and a quicker disembark. The upgrade doesn't change luggage allowance or in-flight services that a passenger can receive.

Special fares

There are some discounts for children, but these do not include promotional or already reduced fares. Children under one always travel at reduced rates, but are expected to travel on the lap of a parent or guardian. There are no reduced rates for senior travellers.


DISABLED PAsSENGERS


Disabled passengers can have assistance while embarking or disembarking, transport of mobility devices, facilities for assistance dogs and meals according to dietary requirements. It's suggested that you let the airline know of your requirements at least 48 hours before the flight.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Passengers may check-in two bags, with a maximum weight of 23kg, which the dimensions should not exceed 158cm total (length + width + height). For business class passengers, an additional two pieces of luggage of the same size and weight as the previous are permitted. 


Passengers travelling with a child under two years old without a booked seat may also check in one additional piece of luggage (under 10kg) and one carry-on for infant food and other in-flight necessities; check with the airline before flying.


For the hand baggage each passenger may carry one bag of 55x35x25cm in size, and this bag should not weigh more than 10kg. One personal item is also allowed, such as a purse, umbrella or blanket. Additional hand luggage may be available to frequent fliers or premier passengers; check before your flight.
