Bali is the most famous holiday destination in all of Indonesia. Having white sandy beaches, exotic temples and various landscapes makes it easy for Bali to be regularly rated as one of the best holiday destinations in the world. The island is well-known for having world-class surfing and diving attractions, and also for having a large range of accommodations and things to do, that suits every kind of traveller. Take off to the 'Land of the Gods' and search for cheap flights to Bali for some never-ending adventure.
A less crowded and cheaper time to go to Bali is from April to June and early September to late October. April to June is the best season weather-wise, being great to practise water sports.
Denpasar or I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is the main airport that serves Bali's island and is the second busiest airport in Indonesia. The airport is named after the balinese hero I Gusti Ngurah Rai, who died in battle against the Dutch in 1946. The airport only have 2 terminals: international and domestic.
From the Denpasar International Airport is possible to get to the city centre by public bus. There are 3 bus lines that can take you to some destinations in Bali such as Tabanan, Nusa Dua and Batubulan, and the fares go from 3,500 up to 7,000 rupiah. Tickets can be purchased on board with the driver.
Taxis are available outside the terminals. Even though many taxis are metered, many drivers don't use the metre and agree on a fixed fare before the trip, so be sure to negotiate the price for the taxi ride.
Uber isn't available in Bali but there is a similar app used there called Grab. Grab offers four kinds of vehicles: GrabCar, Grabcar Premium, 6-seater (Economy) and 6-seater (Premium). The fare will be different depending on the car category.

The most common way to get around Bali is by Motorcycle/Bicycle, being possible to rent one for a fairly cheap price but make sure to have an international driving license. Bali traffic is known by being awful, so expect a lot of honking and wear a helmet at all times. Another option is hiring a driver for the day, which is a great option for being safer and convenient as you will have a professional driver to get you around.
Taxis are available but are not as cheap as the cars from the Grab app. If you wish to get around Bali by taxi, keep in mind that the best company by far is Blue Bird Taxi, which have better cars, drivers who speak reasonable English and use the metre all the time. When getting into a taxi, make sure that the driver has started the meter or if that's not the case, negotiate a price for the fare before the ride starts.
